Freeware soft to satisfy your basic computer needscompatible with the operating system windows
Introduction
This article covers a set of necessary freeware for a personal computer. All programs mentioned in here have a freeware status and can be used absolutely legally and downloaded from shara-soft.ru website.
Antivirus
As a free antivirus software we recommend Avira AntiVir Personal. We have been using it for almost two years and have no complaints on how it works. According to av-comparatives.org resource tests, AviraAntiVir Personal provides the same level of protection as eset nod32 antivirus 4 and Kaspersky AntiVirus.
Alternatives: as an alternative for Avira AntiVir Personal you can install Alwil Avast! and AVG AntiVirus.
Please note that whatever your preferences are, some version of antivirus software needs to be used on your computer, as working without one can be compared to walking on a mine field.
CD/DVD emulators
As a disk emulator software we recommend installing free UltraISO. Using this program you have to be careful. If you check the checkbox for ‘Ignore media type’ in program settings, the system will see all disks inserted in the drive as non-recordable and will refuse to burn them. To resolve this issue the check box needs to be left unchecked.
Drivers Management Programs
From time to time there is a need to reinstall the system, but you do not want to install all the drivers one by one. To simplify this process, you can use the Drivers. This program allows you to save all the drivers in one file and then restore them from this file. To save all drivers in one file just click ‘Export Drivers’. To restore drivers click ‘Import Drivers’. This program allows you to install all necessary drivers for your computer at a click of one button.
